Because of the boldness and conviction of the Spirit, I grabbed the chance to reach out to Manong Reynaldo (Manong ballpen). My purpose is to share about God’s word and eternal love. But, amazingly he’s also a Christian. He did share alot about his life and people were looking at us. His wife left him for another man and his six children didn’t support him. Despite of all the trials he’d gone through, he never felt alone because he knew God is always with him. He sells ballpen for a living and his products are soooo cheap and has also good quality. What impressed me the most is that he tries his best to earn money with a decent clean humble job he has. The talk took for some time but it gave my heart an unexplainable joy. And please if you’re an IIT student, don’t forget to stop by and buy something. The Php5 wouldn’t hurt us, it may be little but surely it’s a big help to him. God bless your soul Manong, I’m happy to meet you! :)
and this… is priceless!

‎”A contemporary all encompassing story that leads us through an inner and outer encounter with our worst enemy, ourselves.”I’ve known some of Paulo Coelho’s books but it wasn’t until recently that I grew the urge to read one. They say that his books were usually thought provoking, somewhat life affirming reads that had the potential to stick in the minds of readers long after closing the pages. And I myself, being interested in that sort of thing, thought it was about time that I gave his work a try. This book is actually owned by my friend Aiko who’s kind enough to lend me this. :)This book ties in obsession and self-discovery, making them the novels key points. Paulo Coelho indulges us with a story that captivates a feeling that is universal, the sensation of vanished outlooks, dark obsessions and the real meaning of letting go. It presents concrete options on how to lose oneself in order to find oneself. A good read since it teaches us to appreciate what we inadvertently take for granted. I loved the refreshing spiritual elements, the lessons and the messages that it contains; even though at times I found there were so many to keep up with that it became momentarily mind-blowing! I’d recommend this book to those who are interested in spirituality and alternative thinking.

"If you only read the books that everyone else is reading, you can only think what everyone else is thinking."

Haruki Murakami, Norwegian Wood

After racing through the first two electrifying chapters of The Testament and coming up a second for air, the question in many readers’ minds will be – can the rest of the novel possibly live up to the sensational opening?
In a word……yes.
Suffice to say, the book is a typical Grisham novel with the expected twists and turns thrown in at every possible encounter. His characters are all real and believable and they are woven together to tell a story. Grisham combines the spiritual elements of the book in a beautiful way, so that it would not be overpowering for anyone. Though sometimes it becomes predictable,   I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Compelling! A must read!
